Form layouts often need a mechanism to create empty space between groups of fields, or individual fields in order to space them out. By default WebMaker has a small fixed gap between Fields or Groups, which is controlled by the default CSS Styles.
The simplest approach is to use a 'Spacer' from the palette on the left hand panel of the 'Page Structure' tab within FormMaker. Once added to the page canvas in the appropriate location, you can go to the 'Field Details' tab and adjust the 'custom control' height and width that are displayed within the style.
Spacer controls are often useful within grids, as the spacer can be added to a particular grid cell in order to create a vertical or horizontal gap. The grids are flexible structures that adjust their layout based on the content of the cells. It is possible to stretch a spacer across a number of cells if required by using the right click options and then merging with neighbouring cells of the grid.
