Hi
Not sure if this is the correct board for this query, please move if incorrect. I've installed WM5 and by default I use IE8 compatability mode to replicate how pages will look for our users. When doing so, I receive a number of errors when tring to open a new project / import a project / create a new workspace. The initial error is :
Webpage error details
User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; .NET4.0C; .NET4.0E; InfoPath.3)
Timestamp: Tue, 14 May 2013 14:10:20 UTC
Message: 'username' is null or not an object
Line: 4208
Char: 9
Code: 0
URI: http://localhost:7070/webmaker/js/webmakerWinManager.js?v=5-0
Similar errors occur if i skip past this error. Is WM5 not designed to be used with this browser mode?
Thanks

RE: Errors when using WM5 in IE8 Compatability Mode
I would definitely recommend turning off compatibility mode when trying to use the WebMaker studio in Internet Explorer.
The studio is designed with modern browser standards in mind, and so is likely to have problems running in this browser mode as it is aimed at non standards compliant sites.
You mention using this mode to replicate how the pages will look for your users, but could you provide some more information on this?
If you are using BizFlow, my understanding is that from version 12 the BizFlow application now works in standards mode, so the embedded WebMaker pages should also now be correctly displayed in standards mode. Are you seeing different behaviour to this?

Gerard
RE: Errors when using WM5 in IE8 Compatability Mode
We're currently using Bizflow 11.7 (though in the process of testing v12), hence the need to use the Compatibility mode
With your comments in mind, I'll only use the standard mode from now on.
Thanks for your reply.
