Here at Hyfinity, we're firmly committed to making our website as accessible as we possibly can. To that end, we have used XHTML 1.0 and CSS to control our page layout, and have made our website compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) to AAA standard and with the U.S. Section 508 guidelines.

Some web browsers support keyboard access keys. These are usually activated by holding down the ALT key and pressing the specified key. These are not case-sensitive, so ALT-s is the same as ALT-S.

We have provided the following access key links to the main areas of our site for browsers which support this feature in accordance with the UK Government Access Key standards:

  • 0: Accessibility (this page)

  • 1: Home

  • 3: Site Map

  • 8: Terms and Conditions

  • s: Skip navigation (will jump to the top of the left-hand context menu)

In the footer section of each page you will find links to enable you to validate each page against the XHTML 1.0 and the CSS standards using tools provided by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Although no current tools are available to check every aspect of the WCAG conformance requirements or the U.S. Section 508 guidelines, the IBM Rational Policy Tester tool currently provides one of the best levels of conformance checking against these standards. This website passes both the Section 508 and the AAA approved checks. The website also passes Double-A automated compliance provided by the leading UK Public Sector testing service from SiteMorse.

Should the text size of the website be too small for you, you can use the sizing options of your browser to change the size of the fonts. This option is usually found under the 'View' menu of your browser's menu bar.

Cascading Style Sheets are used for our layout and formatting because this helps to decrease page file size and to increase the consistency of the site. This can be overwritten should you require a different layout or format to meet your viewing needs.

All of our links will open in the same window with the exception of any email address links, which will open using your email client.

Should you, as a disabled user, have any problems accessing our site or any suggestions for improving our accessibility, please Contact Us Details to let us know, and we will do whatever we can to help.
